Suggs claims he was at 35-40 percent, suggests taking a "home discount"

I would love to see the Jets make a run at Suggs. I am worried about his shoulder and I do not think we can fit him under the cap even if Favre leaves. He is the kind of pass rusher the Jets need.

I think we need to forget about these Raven players. Not that I wouldnt take them...but we really cant afford them. Suggs is going out the window with his salary and this will be Ray Lewis last contract as a football player most likely so he'll be doing the same. We do need one more Vet LB in my opnion, but I dont see it being a Raven honestly...even with Rex as our HC.

Sad but true.

I do not like him because he is Raven but because he is just the kind of excellent pass rusher the Jets desperately need. Being a Raven is not a bad thing. I am sure some Ravens will join the Jets, maybe not the high profile ones like Lewis or Suggs but there will be 1 or 2 to join the Jets. This is just like Bill Parcells when some of his former players followed him all over.

Don't get all hung up on Ravens players.

I think the first 5 games of last season showed us we have guys who can rush the QB.

Jenkins, Ellis, Pace, Rhodes when he lines up within a fathom of the LOS, even Elam and Thomas can 'get there'. We just need to play that way. Fortunately we got rid of the 'Chicken Little' mentality of always playing scared and we should see more of the good stuff now.

Agreed. There is no need for a Terrell Suggs.

I would however like to bring in Jim Leonhard (S) and possibly Bart Scott (ILB) to team with Kerry Rhodes & David Harris at their respective positions. OLB just isn't a need, even if we do decide to part ways with Thomas. Gholston, with the amount of coin he is making, should be starting. Either way, we will have Pace, Gholston & Thomas or Pace & Gholston. No need for Suggs when there is a NEED at Wide Receiver, Safety, Inside Linebacker and Cornerback.

I agree here, and I think we wind up with, atleast, Leonard. Maybe both?

+1 I think Scott will be too pricey as well. The Jets need to maximize the talent they have on the roster now

Love to have him too but he's too rich for our blood. $$
