Rex Ryan On SB III

Maxman

From his interview with Steve Serby:

Q: Favorite childhood memory?

A: I tell ya, when the Jets won the Super Bowl, that was huge.

Q: Were you in the stands? You and your twin brother Rob were 6 years old.

A: We were in the stands. . . . I had no idea how huge it would be later, being a 17-point underdog and then to pull it off. It was just great that our dad was a world champion.

How great is that? A coach that was a fan of this team. He knows first hand why we are here every day talking NY Jets football and hoping for another Championship.

that's why I like this hire so much more than the Mangini spin he would try on us with his "Jets core values" crapola, which this 40 + years Jets fan could never really grasp what they were supposed to be-he never explained them. I see he's pulling the same routine over in Cleveland. He took down all the hall of famers pictures at the training facility-like his hero Belichick did-kinda pissing people off over there-oh yea just like his mentor did.

I know, I know.. You prefer Blonde groupies. icon10.gif

Again, I am sorry you didn't make the cut. If you want to try out again next year, I am okay with that. Just try to be a little more wholesome. Ultimately that is what I am looking for in a BFF.

I think we should probably lay off Max's weight, he does seem to be sensitive over it now. And he did train for that 10 mile run, so it's probably not as bad as it was hyped to be.

Anyway, I like what I'm reading about Rex. I don't know that it'll translate over, but it can't hurt. It's tough to really get on board again after all the epic collapses in Jet history. When the most exciting thing about your franchise is the potential a new HC brings, that is not good. The Mets are always about potential too.
