And can tell me what the requirements are ( college wise) to become a Journalist/Sportswriter?

I want a career change, and I have no problem going back to school. I spend a gross amount of time watching sports, and I have recently decided that I want to be a SportsWriter/Blogger ( since newspapers will soon be defunct). ANyone on here have experience and can give me some pointers?

Thanks!

I really don't think it matters what school you go to - just go back and get a communications or journalism degree. In the meantime - volunteer to work at ESPN. I know of person that did that for gamedays at Gillette. Not much to it - besides a lot of running around. It's a way to network and watch the games for free. I'm not even sure is necessary to get another degree, truth be told. Start a blog on your own, get the flunkies here to visit and comment - tell 'em to tell their friends - and who knows what could happen. Ever hear of the Sports Guy? That's how he started. Now he has his own page at ESPN.com. Also, check out Barstoolsports.com. They always welcome a females point of view - probably because it is one of the raunchiest sports pubs out there - but write something and send it to them. The more visable you are the better. Think of it as building a portfolio. Oh, be sure to have a gag bag by your side if you do check out barstool sports. It is DECIDELY Boston - and they HATE the Yankees - which means they would LOVE you.

I was a Journalism major for two years and got no lower than a B in those classes. I switched majors because I don't like writing on a deadline, I like doing it for fun, but I still enjoy and still write (especially for Max here). If you need any advice, let me know. You know where to find me. ;)

jen sterger thinks otherwise.

Princess, you really need to go to a Jets game this season. Her interviews - as shown on the big screen - are a riot in a sad kind of way. Very attractive girl. Wrong profession for her. She comes off dumb and ill-prepared. She has all the charisma of a dead cat....well, unless you're a guy and find perky - pushed-up boobies charismatic. :)

Jen Sterger isnt a Journalist, she's a hot chick with great **** that the drunken JETS fans love to look at. She's doing nothing more than making an object out of herself.

I was a Class A Sportswriter, but blew a ligament in my thumb.

Coach was pretty good, though.

never gets old...

That is the thing, I really believe in 12 years I will still be laughing at those jokes. I agree and think it really will never get old.

Bronzey -- I am a sportswriter for a major outlet. If there is anything I can do to help just let me know. :-P

I don't think she was hired for her interview talent. She was hired for exactly for what she is...eye candy.

Learn how to steal other peoples ideas and pass them off as your own.

Learn how to hate sports.

Tell personal stories about players... blow job stories are always a hoot.
