joebabyny
Nugent or Feely? I am sure 124 can give you a good unbiased scouting report
Spudicus
Might be neither, the both are not under contract so i think it's up to Ryan on who he wants to go with. I'd like the see Feely stay cause I like the guy and he's shown a history of kicking well in the meadowlands.
New York Mick
At this point I think Feely but I'm really more worried about who is going to be our QB.
Bleedin Green
I know I'm in the minority, but I still prefer Nugent over Feely. Despite the curse of Week 1, Nugent has been a reliable kicker for us over the years. Feely, on the other hand, wasn't anywhere near as good as people here like to make it out. The guy was shanking easy kicks left and right in big spots for us early in the season that really cost this team. He had a nice run late in the season, but that was pretty much hitting nothing but short range kicks. The only decent length kicks he got all season were the following: (1) Against Oakland to send it to OT, except for the fact that he missed it the first time and got lucky that a TO was called. (2) Against St. Louis to end the first half blowout. I simply don't trust the guy and as consitent as he's shown to be on the easy, meaningless kicks, he's shown himself to be just as unreliable in every big kick attempt. This is a guy who had an even worse game kicking for the Giants against Seattle than our own Doug Brien did against the Steelers. And nobody was calling kneels before his kick attempts either. Nugent may not be great, but Feely scares the crap out of me. There's a reason this guy was unsigned going into Week 2 after all.
JoeC36
i heard somewhere that stover from the ravens in a free agent. is there any truth to that and would he maybe follow rex up here. id prefer him over both nugent and feely
ToonTime
I personally would like to get rid of alot of players from the Herm era, a 2nd rd pick on a kicker?? R U serious?? Feely all the way. thegoods.earn4100.biz

Feely all the way. thegoods.earn4100.biz That makes absolutely no sense. Who gives a crap when or by who he was picked? That was one GM and two head coaches ago. The Jets aren't getting the pick back no matter what they do. The fans need to get over it and the coaches should keep whoever they decide is the better player for this team. Bravejamriot
I recall Erik Boland at newsday reported that Feely was more likely to be back. Although I have no idea where it is so can provide no link.
slats
There's a reason this guy was unsigned going into Week 2 after all. Yeah, the fact that if he'd been signed before the opener, his salary would've been guaranteed for the full year. Jets should bring in another UFA at kicker and have a wide open competition. A second round pick on a kicker?!?
4HCrew
none are under contract, explore the market a bit...or Feely

Jets should bring in another UFA at kicker and have a wide open competition. A second round pick on a kicker?!? Yeah, I'm not buying that reasoning. I'm pretty sure all 32 teams had kickers on their week 1 roster, Feely just wasn't one of them. And I have no problem with a competition but if the question is one or the other, I personally would much prefer Nugent, that's all. I still don't get why people feel the need to get hung up on how much we gave up for the guy 4 years ago. Sure it may have been a dumb move, but its irrelevant when considering what to do with him today. To dump him solely because of that fact would be short-sighted at best. slats
I didn't realize that neither guy was under contract. So I'd sign one of them, with money playing a big part in which one it was. Then I'd bring in an UFA to battle that guy in camp. I wouldn't let the pick Braddunce spent on Nugent get in the way of what I did today. It just still gets under my skin a little bit when I think about it is all. If I had to guess, though, I'd think that Feeley might come a little cheaper. slats
The Raiders first round kicker hit a 57 yard strike to knife our throats this year, on a side note.lol A first round pick on a kicker is still ludicrous. But if you're going to spend a high pick on a kicker, he better be the whole freakin' package. I don't know if Nugent could kick off 57 yards when we drafted him, much less hit a FG of that distance.
