WR "Bullet" Bob Hayes

DE Bruce Smith

S Rod Woodson

OG Randall McDaniel

LB Derrick Thomas

Owner Ralph Wilson Jr

Just announced on NFL Network.

I'm glad for Ralph Wilson. He deserved it. He had no speech or anything prepared since he honestly never expected it.

The NFL is limited to 6 entrants right?

Congrats to the selectees.

According to the Hall of Fame website (http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/selectionprocess.jsp) the writers must vote in 4 and no more than 7 players each year.

I'm very surprised that Cris Carter didn't get in. He must of have ticked off some of the writers (ala Jim Rice). Pretty petty of them because he was a great receiver and should have been voted in on the first ballot.

Believe it or not, I have always felt Bruce Smith was actually underrated. He was a prototypical 4-3 DE who played most of his career in a 3-4. And still is the all time sack leader. The man was a fantastic football player. Him, Reggie White and Deacon Jones. Put them in any order you like, they were far and away the best DEs ever to play the game.

Thomas and Hayes are overdue.

Shannon Sharpe should have got in on the first ballot. And Cris Carter is being punished for playing in the 90's.

Agree 100%.

As much as I hate Shannon Sharpe, his accomplishments are undeniable. Cris Carter, as only the third receiver with more than 100 receptions deserves to be in.
