Wasn't the best QB performance in SB history but it was a great one.

He was better than Warner. People do underestimate how easier it is for a QB when he has Larry Fitzgerald. Bens pick was unlucky. Warners was simply stupid and probably cost Arizona the game.

Sorry. Warner was way better. That penultimate Steller drive with 35 penalty yards could've been the single worst piece of officiating in NFL history. Doesn't detract from the Steelers drive in which the Cards' defense folded like a cheap camera, nor does it top the job Warner did. No problem with the Steelers winning, but Ben was the 2nd best QB today, and not by a bit.

I'm sorry

IMO I just watched the best drive in the history of The SuperBowl

That last drive, he put the team on his back, and wanted just more

It was fun to watch

Did you even watch last year's SB?

Seriously. Eli's drive was 10X better than Big Ben's.

Remember, Big Ben led the offense against a bad defense while Eli led the offense against a top 5 defense to win the game.

This is complete BS.

Ben wasn't playing with 2 of the best WR's in the league. One being the best WR in the league AND Ben didn't **** his team over with a stupid pick 6 before halftime to lose all his teams momentum.

Ben was better than Warner today - MUCH better. Blaming the officiating is laughable.

How many times did Ben turn it over in the red zone for a TD?

This arguement is laughable

You guys don't realize greatness when you see it

That O-line SUCKED

And the Cardinals D-Line sucked at tackling.

Also, do you think there's any correlation between the Steelers' great drive and the fact that Ben had all the time in the world throughout that drive? When the O-Line played bad, Ben played decent at best. The big guys up front rose to the occasion, allowing the Steelers to win.

Not blaming anyone. And the officials' incompetence is a nonfactor. Warner was the better QB this evening. Ben got the ball last and did his best. The play of the game was Harrison's INT, which Ben had nothing to do with. Warner did, but still his 2nd half comeback was fantastic. Ben deserves credit, but he is not in Warner's class. Which is not a knock, simply a fact.

The offensive line were not great on that last drive. Ben was, as always, running around.

Steeler's Overall Defense Ranking: 1st

Cardinal's Overal Defense Ranking: 19th

Steeler's Pass Defense Ranking: 1st

Cardinal's Pass Defense Ranking: 22nd

The bottom line is that while Big Ben did not have Warner's quality of receivers, Ben was still playing against a bad defense and bad pass defense.

Credit the time he had to the fact that the Cardinals D-Line can't tackle at all.

I'd say Ben had a great performance, if it wasn't for that early underthrow with a guy wide open. Would've been an easy TD, but he let the CB catch up by not leading his receiver. Although he did a stellar job at scrambling and avoiding tackles, there was nothing amazing about his actual passes.

How could a QB not look good with larry Fitzgerald at WR? I mean seriously?

Just throw it high enough!

I think the difference between talent on D versus talent at WR cancel each other out. What I'm saying is, having Fitz and Boldin vs the #1 D equates having Holmes and Miller vs a decent D.

When it mattered, he made the plays

Joe Montana in the game where he threw the TD to Taylor only scored 21 points

Where was he the rest of the game?

In 1990 Montana went 22-29-297-5 and hung 55 on the best scoring defense in the league. Pretty sure that one was better.

Actually for the most part there was, especially on that last drive. Look at that the TD throw to Holmes again. There's a defender right in front of Holmes and Ben just lofts it over him. People think it wasn't that great a throw because it required a great catch, but it was.

Some of the throws he made were ridiculous. Including some of the throw aways were he managed to get out of the pocket and avoid intentional grounding. Most QB's under that kind of pressure have to either take a sack or throw a dangerous pass, not Ben. That's what makes him so good.
