Hey ALK, any movies this weekend?

Doubtful, we're going to go see Brian Regan on Saturday night. Probably go see The Pink Panther 2 next weekend. We're still patiently waiting for The Wrestler to make it to the art cinema.

I want to see the movie The Wrestler but it is like nowhere to be found in a movie theater close to me.

I also learned something else useless today. Pot even though illegal is okay to smoke because it is less harmful than alcohol according to some doctors and by doctors I mean potheads.

And now you know.........and knowing is half the battle.

I hope you smoke some before you see "Pink Panther 2", probably make it more tolerable.

3 couples on a friends boat friday night. ate dinner at friends new house across the north sound. they have an outdoor kitchen which is really cool. pretty much a perfect night of dinner, good friends and a late night boating excursion with champaine.

there is a phosphorus glow that comes off a certain fish that leaves trails of light. 1st time i've seen it & it was pretty amazing. can only be seen in certain areas at certain times of which I am not certain but it certainly was cool

yea it was playing at the cheap threater by my house so i only had to pay 7 a person but get this Nachos+Soda= 11.25 that is highway robbery

Do not buy any food or drink at a movie theater is the first lesson to learn.

I spent an evening wine tasting at a friends house in Tarrytown Sat night. If you've never been, Tarrytown is a great little village. After the festivities, the wife and I went to dinner at Jak & Dyl's on Main St. I had the lamb shank special (with a saffron gastrique) nestled on a bed of polenta with the freshest green beans I've ever had in February. The wife got the grilled pork chop special. (I don't remember anything else about her meal except that it was freakin' awesome) I washed it all down with a pair of Rolling Rocks (I'm a sucker for cheap beer) before tying it all up with a good (not great) piece of NY style cheesecake.

I give the meal 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Truth be told, the polenta was a little too "gummy" for my liking, and the service was only fair. I probably should have pointed that out in my original post.

LOL. If you knew me, you'd know that's NOT me. I'm generally pretty laid back. I think it's hard to judge a place on a single visit, but I gave my honest impression of the place. I'll certainly go back there if I ever get to Tarrytown again.
