Larz
if someone gives me positive rep, do I reply somehow ? do I send them some back in return ? I hope I haven't been ignoring all the brilliant posters who have given me positive rep and thanks !

SMC
Got to disagree here. Rep should be earned. You shouldn't get it just by giving it. Rep is not quid-pro-quo, in other words. (I repped you Eric, still waiting for you to rep me.)
ZachEY
Rep is not quid-pro-quo, in other words. (I repped you Eric, still waiting for you to rep me.) That's a lie. You tried to gain rep with misrepresentation. You should be reprimanded with neg rep.

I try to give rep everyday and spread it around. Thanks to everyone who has rep'd me.

JMJ
That's a lie. You tried to gain rep with misrepresentation. You should be reprimanded with neg rep. Your repetitive use of the word rep was both repulsive and repugnant. It actually worked as a repellant when I considered leaving you positive rep. I just wanted my feelings to be represented. Carry on...

JerryK
I agree with others that it's not quid-pro-quo. For a little practice, give me rep and I'll provide none in return.

I reply with trepidation, but I could no longer repress my feelings on the preposterous nature of your post. Your grammar is in disrepair. It is simply reproachable to end with a preposition. kelticwizard
if they dont have any rep-worty posts, then send them a private message thanking them for their support. I'm repping you for the quoted post. Because that was the way I decided to resolve the situation too. Assume that anyone who repped you has to be a person of intelligence and taste, so go find a post somewhere which reflects that and rep them for it. That way you keep yourself above pandering, which is for peasants.

No, the person that sent it shouldn't get rep back just by giving it. That's just wrong. I should get rep back because someone else sent you rep. Ya dig? JohnnyHector
Remember, when you rep someone you're also repping everyone they've ever repped. So it works kind of like reselling digital TV, cell phone, and Internet services through ACN?
Norway'sWaddlingMarmaloof
I'm really glad the issue of repiquette is finally being addressed. I had hoped that one or both presidential candidates would have the courage to take on this divisive powder-keg. Personally, I'm going to seek the Lord's guidance.
