OneSeason.com - Anyone use it?

I just started an account at OneSeason.com. I was a bit skeptical at first but figured what the hell, I'll give it a try. Its pretty much a site where you buy and sell shares of an athlete. There price varies on supply and demand, amount of shares and its the athletes overall worth. An athletes popularity is what determines everything, not necessarily there performance. So Arod just took a big hit.

Anyone else use it? I would post a link but don't want you guys to think its a pyramid scheme. It's not by the way.

how much cash is involved..

btw, thatnks for not posting the link. Nobody will be able to find it given the thread title ;)

I didn't want to hyperlink cause when people post pyramid schemes, and link them it usually means the poster would get a credit for referring people. I just don't want you guys to think I'm trying to make money off you signing up.

Its all real cash, you can add however much you want and they give you 10 free dollars. You obviously can't cash out until you turn the bonus money into real money. So I just added 10 bucks and got 10 bucks free to start with $20. I'll see what its like, if I lose all of it, whatever its only 10 bucks.

you can actually make money off of it? What do they measure popularity by? or is it like a stock market thing? and you can make money off of it? Elaborate please. Send me a PM if you don't want to post it on here.

The only reason I didn't post a link is purely because I don't want you guys to think I was making money off signing people up. Thats not how OneSeason works.

Yes its just like the Stock market, but for athletes. You could say its loosely based on performance, but its not like fantasy. Jeter is going for a little under $4 a share right now. I picked up 3 shares, and hoping once baseball season hits, hits popularity might spike up and I can sell him higher.

But theres also a few legends like Babe Ruth, Gretzky, and Jordan. I couldn't tell you why there on there, I guess there was such a demand for them, that the site added them.

Right now theres about 30 athletes you can buy and sell, all from MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL. If an athlete you would like to buy into isn't listed you can request for him to be listed. For instance Joba needs 108 more people to request him for him to be listed to where as Phil Hughes needs 1500 more people.

As I'm typing this out the whole popularity things seems kind of sketchy, but there is money to be made here. I hope:shutit:. I was just wondering if anyone is familar with it, and maybe wants to throw some tips out there. If not, guess I wasted 10$.

It looks like it could be a fun idea. Maybe make a few extra bucks. Or maybe have some fun. I doubt it will get big enough to make a living off of. :D

Haha yeah, I'm not really looking to make a living off of it. Or expecting to:-D anyways. But yeah, could be fun I'll see.

I think I'll check it out, mostly b/c I'm a degenerate gambler. This morning I bet my fiance which cat would crap first. Of course, she didn't know I got up early and gav eone of them a laxative. ;)

Haha nice.

I sat in on a Live chat last night with the owner of OneSeason and he's about to make some moves. He was talking about advertising it and stuff and taking next steps. Theres a bunch of 3rd party apps, and games that are about to come out too. And last night they ran there first TV spot, it was 2am and only on in Colorado. A small step, a step none the less.

Theres a forum I read for OneSeason and theres some guys with like 20K invested in it. I got about 80$ in it right now. I only put in 20$.

You get 10$ free when you sign up, BTW.

Haha

If any of you guys got questions and want to make moeny, I'll definitely help.

You can make longterm money - if you think this idea will blow up. Or you can make quick money.

The day before they put a new player onto the market you can request to get shares of them before they hit the market. If you request shares within 6 minutes of the news of they're release theres a pretty good chance you'll get the shares the next day.

Once you get the shares you can sell them for like 6-7$ a pop and make straight profit. Thats how my brother and I made our money.

EDIT: you can sign up for free TXT alerts for new players. So if you have a deskjob and always have a PC in front of you, sign up for the texts and make some free money.

Alright, I'm bumping this again. I have good reason though.

In a dramatic twist OneSeason added a fantasy aspect to their market. Now you can use the players you invest in to play fantasy and win some money.

I'll be honest for a while the market was dead and it looked pretty ugly but it looks like its on its way up now that theres a real value behind the players.

So if your a big fantasy guy, check it out.
