SouthernJet
The International is the 2nd spy vs bad guy flick to debut in last 3 weeks wiuth 'Taken' the other. If you have to pick 'Taken' is much crisper and fluid. The Intrenational is not a bad movie, it supplies the spyish, in this case Interpol, coolness as the bad guys are on the run. Its just that is does slow down about 3/4ths into the film for about a 15 minute period. Editing probably could have done a better job here. The cast is solid though with Clive Owen, Naomi Watts and the always cool Armin Mueller-Stahl (the Russian mob boss from 'Eastern Promises'). The premise is a world banking scheme and coverup tah tentails political assasination, planted evidence, cooverups etc. All the cool spy stuff that makes it enjoyable. If you are into spy movies abpout government intrigue etc you will enjoy this, I am just saying its not a home run. 2 1/2 's

BroadwayJoe12
I had a feeling that this would be sort of a caricature of all the spy movies, especially coming out right after Taken. It's a shame, because I really Clive Owen and a lot of his movies never seem to get noticed. Children of Men was a great example, although I would have liked a better ending, but I thought he did a fantastic job in it. How was the acting in it?? Both are excellent actors, however if the movie failed in your eyes I would bet that they didn't do too much to dazzle.
