bitonti
i don't agree with some of those cuts but i guess what's done is done you need more DB, LB and DE. best available cornerback is not an unreasonable pick when you are "Starting" dwight lowery
124
Get a real QB or put Clemens ahead of Ratliff. Cornerback. Inside Linebacker. Safety. Wide Receiver. DLine Depth. OLine Depth. C'mon Jetkid94, you're a Jets fan. You should know our needs. I am the GM of the freakin' Jaguars over at ThePhins, that is a real challenge! CrazyCarl40
I have no earthly idea why you cut all of those people. It just doesn't make any sense to cut people to save very little money.

Jetkid94
The reason I made so many cuts is because I had no cap room. I went from 1.5 to 10.25 million. If I was able to restructure guys I wouldnt have made unnesary cuts but I had to.

I know what we need, I just dont know what to put most of money towards. I plan on getting a receiver in round 2, signing jabari greer, signing jim lehonard, signing a LB or DE. Then in the first round draft a LB or DE depending on which one I passed on in free agency. I plan on re-signing elam at 500,000. feeley for 250,000, and sign bo sciafe for 250,000. that leaves me at about 9.5 million to use on greer, leohnard and a lb or de

If I was able to restructure guys I wouldnt have made unnesary cuts but I had to. In reality, none of the cuts you made to players costing under $600K saved you anything. They all have to be replaced with someone else making at least the league minimum. Why didn't you just cut Brett Favre?

aec4
Why advice? Don't do it. It's a WASTE of time. ok guys. this will be my mock offseason. im in a gm mock with 31 other people on another thread. I will make this close to what I actually want the jets to do. jets are 1.5 million under cap that will change as you read post NY JETS FREE AGENTS WR Wallace Wright-NY Jets RFA TE Bubba Franks-NY Jets DE C.J. I want to sign jabarri greer, jim leonhard and either a LB or DE(the one I dont pick ill get in the first round) with only 9.75 million any suggestions on how to use it? I know im under the 53 man roster but after the draft and free agency ill put guys in. I have made a bid of 250,000 for Bo Scaife TE we cant restructure contracts which is why my cap is low so I had to make a lot of cuts to have a respectable cap number. Jetkid94
I re-signed Mike DeVito after cutting him. his salary was cut in half from when i cut him, so i saved money on him. I re-signed CJ Mosley to 250,000 so the defensive line seems set.
