Meh, I can't tell. Every time I'm up there everyone I talk to wants to move down here. There's a myth that its so cheap here, but it really isn't IMO. Also the job market is in the toilet. I don't blame people for wanting to leave NY though, seems like its only for the rich.

yea they think its cheap because they come down here with there New York money and see everything is cheaper.. but dont realize we dont get paid as much hourly as they do in NY.. we get paid way less then up north thats why everything is priced the way it is.. like my girl cousin was shocked cigs were 4 dollars a pack because in NY they are like 8 dollars

Hot enough? You Florida natives are WEAK when it comes to weather man.

Theres no in between down here, if its hot the AC's on, if its an absolutely beautiful day stores put the heat on. I don't get it.

Ohh, I get what your saying now.

But still, I didn't even think people had heat in there housed down here. Whats with that?

well its central air so its a two in one system.. unlike up north they usually only have heaters in the house and no A/C units..

but i know alot of people that have disconnected the heaters in there cars

Off topic, but how is Tampa?

I'm applying for jobs down in that area.

I'm in the MIA and I heard there's a better chance down here. Tampa is nice, but I haven't lived there in a few years to tell you. I would stick to the 4 major cities. Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and Miami. But you better be renting if you're coming down. Rent is dirt cheap.

Yeah I'd be renting.

:D Boca is like the 7th borough (behind NJ).

Been to Boca twice. The last time was pretty good and tasteful....and i think its because I was far away from the horrible part of Boca I saw during my first visit. The first time I was in Boca I wanted to shoot myself. Was a guest of a couple who lived in this affluent gated community where the people had horses higher than I could imagine (and I shoudl know ;). Tans, egos and attitudes to make you gag. Plastic faces, plastic personalities and plastic boobies. The people were beyond gross. Went to a night club in that area - wanted to shoot everyone in there. Priviledged little snots driving high end cars mommy and daddy bought them, doing tequilla shots and drinking dirty martinis because it made 'em look "cool." Loud, abnoxious, rude phuckers. I could not get out of there fast enough. What a horrid, horrid place. I would prefer living in the middle of east bum phuck New Hampshire than that hideous place. People who move down there need their heads examined.

sarasota is nicer Matt and they have one of the nicest beaches in the

world Siesta Key..weather is also nicer

I like Sarasota, but I'd most likely be moving by myself....so I'd rather be in a busier environment. There's more going on in Tampa than Sarasota. At least I think there is.
