It's****Official****WORST Jets Draft EVER

it looks like **** to me..

That night before that draft was the second biggest all inclusive dustup I've seen online with everyone getting so heated over the Jolley trade, half for and half against. If memory serves it was originally reported as a straight up deal..

the worst was the night and aftermath of 2004 in Pittsburgh as you had the it was Brien's fault versus the it was Herm or Chad's faul people..

Jolley move was one of the most pure stupidity moves ever.

Nugent was a total knee jerk reaction to appease the fanbase for the kicking fiasco in Pittsburgh. Had things not gone down the way they did in that game and it not come down to field goals than Brien would not have been fired and we would have never picked nugent and someone else would have in the fourth round or later.

Nugent is obviously just universally stupid, but look at the others. Height and character were the issues for Miller coming out, but socking that broad aside, the reason he failed is that he simply can't cover at all. Pouha's issue was his age, but our having signed him to a second contract moots that; again, the guy just can't play. Maddox slipped because he'd had hamstring problems; his knee blew up instead. Houston's thyroid was kind of a debacle, but we're down to the sixth round now. Dreessen is still playing somewhere and even Williams was steadily employed until he broke his neck.

Of course it's still on management when a pick bombs, but this just seems different to me than, say, the Titans picking Young even though everybody knew perfectly well that he was an immature retard only to have him fail for exactly that reason.

Releasing miller was a bonehead move by the jets. Yeah he was hurt these past two seasons, but the guy is an electrifying return man, better than Washington at kick returns (but not punts). We should have kept him just as a return man, which would have freed up Leon to do more things on offense.

the reason I didn't include those drafts LM was b/c I had moved down here right around that time and as you may well remember being a transplant yourself there wasn't much in terms of information to get ABOUT the Jets back then. I used to have to buy day old NY papers to read about the games-there was no NFL network or even much ESPN other than Berman's Gameday stuff....so this thread should be from say 1995 to now. Maybe I should change thread title to Worst Jets Draft in the last 15 years or so...or at least in the Internet age, which we began at just about the same time-late 90's on the old Rivals boards and then Matt56's boards

I here you on the lack of jet info. I was lucky to have moved there in the 90's. It's so good to be back here and get all NY sports all the time(the only good thing lol)

No, SFJ, i was talking to the guy(no disrespect i forget) who mentioned that draft and TRYING to be funny about NUU Faaola. lol I was too young to really even know if he was good, but I remember him being a pretty good ST guy, i think. I just love his name!

we had too many ST specialists, Wallace Wright, Brad Smith, Miller and even the use of Leon limited his usage as an every down player. I would like to see Smith gone (let's face it the guy is no wide receiver and not good enough to play QB) and Jim Leonhard signed tonight so we can use him for punt returns giving Washington at least 10 carries a game
