Which Late Night AMC/TCM Movie Classics Instantly Push Your Bed Time Back?

The Gun Of Bavaria

Recommended Posts

The Deer Hunter (A masterwork by Cimino.)

My Darling Clementine (What an actor Henry Fonda was at this point.)

Sunset Boulevard (The genius of William Holden in a film so ahead of its time on many levels.)

Network (Holden, Faye Dunaway, and Peter Finch. Enough said, or I'll get mad as hell and not take it any more.)

All that Jazz (Roy Scheider's tour de force, and Ann Reinking's legs.)

Any Spaghetti Western by Sergio Leone.

I love The Godfather Chronicles. Putting the story in chronological order was fun to watch.

If you watch the uncut version of partII it shows Dinero slamming some guy in the head with a boat ore while he was passing bye as Don Vito. that was on his venganza trip to Sicily.

That sequence when Don Vito goes back to exact revenge has me cheering every time, especially when he guts the Sicilian Don who murdered his family. My friend's father was a musician in the wedding band in Godfather I, so I have watched both movies, literally, hundreds of times. Godfather III actually makes me angry to watch. Not only is it a horrible movie story wise, the acting--especially by Pacino--is abysmal, and it took Coppola down about 10 pegs for me. I forgave him for The Outsiders, but not for that sellout of a mess. I hope the new summer house was worth it, Francis.

Chinatown, Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon, Almost any of Sam Peckenpaugh's great stuff Bring Me The Head Of Alberto Garcia, The Wild Bunch, High Country, Pat Garrett And Billy The Kid-oh yea and Guns is right Dr. Strangelove

You got me thinking of Sam Peckinpah, SFJ. I'll add Straw Dogs to the list. The final stand by Dustin Hoffman is unbelievable. Plus, there is the gorgeous Susan George.
