joewilly
what was the best vacation you ever had? I think mine was a trip out west with my 2 brothers. A night in vegas, followed by a 12 day hiking excursion in southern utah, and then on to salt lake city for a week to visit old friends. felt like a long long time away & it really refreshed the batteries. I've had great similar vacations out West. Flew into Vegas for 8 days then journied out from there. One year my daughter and I hit Bryce Canyon and Zion NP in SE Utah for some heavy duty hiking then headed to Flagstaff Arizona to hike Walnut Canyon and Sunset Crater. We wound up at Canyon de Chelly before heading back to Vegas then into Death Valley for 2 days hiking at 119 degrees. Tiring but a great great vacation. Borgoguy
With your husband? He was busy, I took your Mom. BTW, make sure you give her a hug for me, and tell her I'm really, really sorry about giving her that anal fissure. She just kept insisting that she could accept it all. What do I know? The Crusher
Every year I take my family of seven to Myrtle beach for the last two weeks of summer. Last years my parents and two of my younger brothers came down to join us. We drank, fished, hung out at the beach and had an awesome time. The fourth night my brothers met two strippers and envited them to spend the day with all of us. It was cool being the "good" brother for a day. Wasn't a family reunion just my families vacation, our reunion's are in NY and about 80 people show up and then 20 variants from mom's side. They where actually very nice. Though my mother got a little un-nerved when she noticed the one girl had "I hate dad" tatooed under her belly button.

I did a similar thing a few years back. Flew into Vegas, headed to St. George, Utah to do the ATV's in the hills, then onto Zion NP for some hiking. We then headed to the Grand canyon for a couple of days, Flagstaff, Sedona and back to Vegas for a few days. It was really a lot of fun. Going on cruise to the Panama Canal, Colombia, Cost Rica, Aruba etc in April. It was tough finding a cruise that didn't stop in Grand Cayman (trying to avoid joewilly) but we managed. Luckily for us we live in Va, so it's only 8 hours or so in the car. We pack everyone into the suburban and Avalanche and drive as fast as we can till someone has to pee. I couldn't last 5 minutes at our reunion without booze. I'd have to curl over in my chair and tell people I have a stomach ache so don't get to close because I think I'm going to hurl.
