JMJ
METS Carlos Beltran (Puerto Rico) Shawn Bowman (Canada) Alex Cora (Puerto Rico) Carlos Delgado (Puerto Rico) Elmer Dessens (Mexico) Jesus Feliciano (Puerto Rico) Pedro Feliciano (Puerto Rico) Nelson Figueroa (Puerto Rico) Oliver Perez (Mexico) J.J. Putz (USA) Jose Reyes (Dominican Republic) Francisco Rodriguez (Venezuela) Ruben Tejada (Panama) David Wright (USA) I don't give a damn about hitters playing in this thing but why the hell do we have our closer, our stud set-up man, our #3 starter, and our only somewhat reliable reliever other than the closer and set-up man ALL PITCHING in this stupid freaking tournament? No pitchers from any MLB team should pitch in this at all IMO.

You should be grateful Santana was forced by the Mets to dropout, but I agree, I'm not happy a big chunk of the core of the Yankees "current bullpen" Marte, Ramirez, and Veras are all on the Dominican team. AdropOFvenom
Injury Risks aren't any greater then a Spring Training game. I don't mind if any of the Mets perform in the WBC, including Santana (Although I know he won't).

AdropOFvenom
Well how many innings are starting pitchers expected to throw? Assuming it plays out similarly to the last World Baseball Classic.... where Johan Santana started 2 games and pitched 8.1 innings, Francisco Rodriguez got into 3 games and pitched 3 Innings. Among MLB Pitchers, Bartolo Colon and Jae Seo pitched the most innings, a total of 14 innings over 3 starts. They kept the pitchers on similar routines to what they would normally be doing in Spring Training otherwise.
