We still get their 3rd. We only would have gotten their 2nd if he signed before FA started. Not to sound bitter, but I hope this comes back to bite them in the as$ and that his price goes up considerably or some other team signs him. I dont know if I would call it their master plan but more of a handcuff situation because if they extented Villma, not only would the Jets get a their second but the Giants would have got the saints first for Shockey. True, but they worked those two trades knowing those facts and are now attempting to have it all work out in their favor while keeping their fingers crossed.
