what makes it even better is, its not like we went to 9 mill a year for 5 years, we just extended the 8 million for one more year.

so we didnt have to affect the cap to beat baltimore.

TO ALL WHO SAY TANNEBAUM IS CRAP SCREW YOU!

Let's hear how much the guaranteed coin went up before we go too cazy.

5 for 45 with 18 guaranteed is better than 6 for 48 with 21.6 guaranteed, even though the "rate" of guaranteed is 3.6M per year.

If you like a GM who just throws money at the wall and hopes some of it sticks Tanny is your man. Now if he could just get some of that money to stick.

So far his money/signings has worked IMO. This is just another piece to the puzzle.

How have they worked? The team completely crumbled down the stretch last season and I don't care what he does this offseason if he doesn't get a legit starting QB it will be the same story again.

Not true... his agent was trying to do his job and get his client more money.

Exactly.

More money was the reason.

If the Jets sit at 5, 40 and the Ravens 5, 42, he's a Raven.

Clearly the Rex Ryan factor was over-rated.

It seems like a good pickup for you guys. I hear he can throw the 10 yard out route with the best of th...oh, wait, nevermind.

In all seriousness. He is a solid pickup. It will be interesting to see if he is as good as everyone think he is or if he benefitted from having a bunch of wonderful defenders around him.

Congrats Jet fans. Good first day of signings for ya.

Damn the Ravens offered 42 million for a solid backup????

They obviously do not know how to build a good defense!

...Not quote a Ravens fan. In fact, on my website in my sig, I wrote a pretty lengthy piece on why I hate that entire city and anything in it.

I am a Dolphins fan. I think he is a talented LB. I won't lie and say that I didn't want him.

My only concern is that he has Ngata in front of him and Lewis and Suggs beside him and Ed Reed and a fairly talented secondary behind him. Is he a product of his surroundings? Or is he a big cog in that defensive wheel? I tend to lean more towards the latter than the former, but that would be my only concern with him. How well does he do when he is counted on to be "the man."
