124
JETS DON'T SOUND INTERESTED IN RAY LEWIS Posted by Mike Florio: Friday, February 27, 2009 11:04 PM It is widely believed that the New York Jets would be signing Ravens linebacker Bart Scott or Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, but not both. At a Friday night press conference, G.M. Mike Tannenbaum and coach Rex Ryan addressed the question of whether, now that Scott has joined the team, the Jets might pursue Lewis. The duo said all the right things, but the space between the lines suggests strongly that the Jets won't have a space for Lewis. Said Ryan on whether Lewis will be pursued: "If that opportunity presented itself and certainly if we thought it would be in our best interest, then we would definitely look at it. I would think Ray Lewis is going to have plenty of opportunities. He is one of the premier players in this league and I am sure Ray is not going to have any problems finding a job out there." BroadwayJoe12
There is nothing at all about Mike Florio that I like. I just read another article that these free agent signings and any future ones do not matter because the jets do not have a QB. Nothing too surprising, just his usual hate. There isn't a single part of me that feels Clemens or Ratliff can't do what Kerry Collins or Flacco did this year; there were some games were Flacco's numbers weren't absolutely atrocious, but he played equally as bad. I hope Rex is truly willing to go with one of our young guys and go threw the growing pains.

I did love the fact that Ratliff seemed glued to Favres hip, soaking up all the knowledge he could.
