Dolphins | Pennington thinks Coles would add dimension to receiving corps

Sat, 28 Feb 2009 05:02:52 -0800

Brian Biggane, of the Palm Beach Post, reports Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington said he will not be lobbying the team to sign free-agent WR Laveranues Coles (Jets). However, Pennington added Coles would surely add some experience to the team's receiving corps. "If you look at our receiving corps, we're young," Pennington said. "So he could bring experience. You can't replace that, and you can't put a number on that. That's what I tried to do this year, and what I thought one of my roles would be. So that's something he definitely brings to the table."

i do not want to see Coles in Miami.....

either re-sign with us or out of the division..

he's be good in Phili.

I agree Stan...what will KILL this Jets fan is if Miami gets him and we get NOTHING for him-just like we got for a playoff QB. The Dolphins are making us look like their biatches

:crossfingers: C'mon Coles, you know you wanna take a pay cut to play with Chad's balls again.. Er, catch his balls again... Er... Just come to Miami.

He'll sign a 3 year deal with you, and then bitch in training camp that he wants a new deal.

LC's annual "I feel disrespected" week. Fun for the whole family.

Even Chad isn't going out on the limb for him. Coles made a big mistake. He is 31 years old, has a concussion history and has lost a few steps. Walking away from that guaranteed money was a big mistake. He would have done better to try to have one last good year with the Jets and then test free agency with a no cap 2010.

coles is the kind of turd who has 6 mil guaranteed but does not know if he lasts beyond this year. So he will say he wants to play 3 or 4 more years to sucker a team into signing him, and walk out on a team that guaranteed his money after he had 2 concussions in a single year. He will sign a multi year deal with someone even if he only gets 7 mil guaranteed. That is the kind of guy he is.

I think if Coles doesn't sign with Miami in the next couple of days that there is a good chance he re-signs with us ala Branden Moore. He didn't leave on bad terms so there is still that possibility.

'ala Bradon Moore' means 'for less money'.

Not too sure about that.

Well get used to it Jim, we WILL get nothing for him. I'm still pissed about getting zippo for Penny.
