jetsman
I have a funny feeling now that the Pats have cleared that cap room from the cassel trade that they make a play and try and land Ray Lewis. just a feeling I have.

dbatesman
and if they can entice Leonhard all the more better. That would be a good signing for the Pats, but I think the Jets have a more better chance to get him. Maybe the most best chance of all. AdropOFvenom
It sounds like they need the money to keep Wilfork and Mankins long-term, obviously they need some room for things like draft picks as well. I don't think they have close to 10 million spare for someone like Ray-Ray. Maybe a lesser signing though.

Garb
They'd lap 'em up just like Bostonians lapped up Starbury Seriously, that was embarassing. I beleive they gave him a standing ovation when he was introduced. Ugh. Pats fandom is a bit more savvy than the Celtics....I think Sorry....thought she was referring to Ray Lewis. stoicsentry
I hate to admit it: the Pats are the smartest franchise in football. Most teams are either in rebuilding mode or win now mode, the Pats successfully do both at once.
Sperm Edwards
No way. Wilfork and Mankins need to be taken care of and if they can entice Leonhard all the more better. Yeah, you guys have a lot of core players who only have 1 or 2 years remaining. UFA after 2009: Richard Seymour Jarvis Green Vince Wilfork Ellis Hobbs Stephen Gostkowski UFA after 2010: Tom Brady Randy Moss Matt Light

ECURB
I wonder how many boats they missed because the Cassell deal took so long. None they will need to pay wilfat so much they had to dump Cassel... lol Haynesworth is getting 41 million guaranteed and 32 million of it over the next 13 months... Wilfat isnt going to take a huge discount with the chance of this being the last good contract of his career...

The most important defensive position in the 3-4 is the nose. Wilfork is arguably in the top 5 at this position. Why not lock him up long term? I think it' smart.
