spjets
COLES TO BILLS OR DOLPHINS Posted by Aaron Wilson on March 1, 2009, 8:59 a.m. No longer a New York Jet, free agent wide receiver Laveranues Coles is likely staying in the AFC East, according to Rich Cimini of the New York Daily News. Per Cimini, Coles is ready to make a decision and will choose between the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins as soon as today. He places the “smart money” on the Dolphins landing the former Jets starter who played collegiately at Florida State. Coles caught 70 passes for 850 yards and seven touchdowns last season for the Jets. For his career, Coles has caught 631 career passes for 8,095 yards and 44 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Baltimore Ravens free agent safety Jim Leonhard’s visit to the Jets began Saturday at 5 p.m. It’s predicted that he’ll sign with the Jets today. Leonhard excelled last season as a replacement for injured starter Dawan Landry and doubled as a punt returner.
JiF
This ought to be very telling about old L.C. Does he show his true colors and go where he can get the best contract or does he head down to Miami for another run at some strange STD with Chadwick? Get this Leonhard deal done already!!! Thai Jet
I'm voting for Coles going to Miami . The lure of a possible STD from Chad proves the deciding factor.

L.S. Dylan
That's pretty lame. Should have traded coles's ass. I think he'll go where it's warm. He's not going to want to be playing in Canada.

Ryno the Jet
http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl Dolphins | Unlikely to pursue Coles Sun, 01 Mar 2009 13:30:25 -0800 Brian Biggane, of the Palm Beach Post, reports the Miami Dolphins likely will not pursue unrestricted free-agent WR Laveranues Coles (Jets) because they do not see Coles as the No. 1 receiver they are looking for, according to a league source. Not a No. 1 WR? You don't say...

Ryno the Jet
You guys all said the Penningotn signing wouldn't work out. How'd that prediction turn out? Like typical Pennington. One and done. Don't forget this year is his injury year. Chad works a one year on and one year off schedule.

Aqua4ever04
We shall see. But with Long and Carey, he should stay on his feet more than he did with you guys. Either way, if you guys keep Chad, you win the division and we go 5-11. So thanks for that.
124
From 1-15 to division champs. Yeah, Chad is KILLING us. We should probably replace him. If you're happy with simply being competitive and reaching the playoffs only to fall on your face in die in the 1st or 2nd round, then yes, Chad is your guy. With 95% of the other QB's in the league there is a chance to go further without a Top 3 defense and Top 3 ground attack.
Jimmy IRisH
Dont get me wrong, the most accurate QB since montanna easy, however, poor decision making, trouble staying healthy and not very mobile. Will he give you a chance? yeah slight at that not to mention hes not getting any younger!

jetsman
The Dolphins have reportedly reached out to free agent Laveranues Coles to let him know that they are not interested in signing him. And that ends that. The Bills remain interested and the Bengals could target Coles as a fallback plan if they lose T.J. Houshmandzadeh, but there won't be any reunion with Chad Pennington despite Miami's weakness at wideout. Source: Miami Herald how do you like that, the fins slammed the door in Coles face.
