AdropOFvenom
He was abused badly by the Marlins over the years and his arm doesn't have the same life to it that it used to now. Add in his control steadily declining the last 4 years and that was a trainwreck in the making.
PFSIKH
Cut him so the Sox can claim their latest reclamation project.

adb280z
He was abused badly by the Marlins Nonsense. Even if you believe in pitch counts and innings pitched limits (which I strongly do not) he was not abused in any way. 2002 - 160 IP 2003 - 196 IP 2004 - 197 IP 2005 - 236 IP 2006 - 223 IP That's fine

Morrissey
Now I don't feel so bad that we once traded him for Antonio Alfonseca. You should still feel bad... Cubbies probably would of been in the World Series in 2003.
The Troll
You should still feel bad... Cubbies probably would of been in the World Series in 2003. IIRC, Willis pitched like **** against the Cubs. I think he was on the mound when Aramis hit the grand slam. I could be wrong, though, as I've spent five years trying to block that out. The Troll
**** JOSH BECKETT! Cubs actually tagged Beckett and his faggy goatee for six earned runs in game one. After that, it wasn't good, though.
