The mess with in Cle. Mangini Continues: Sports Illustrated Sign of the Apocalypse

In this week's SI, the sign of the apocalypse was:

"The Browns' Shaun Rogers reportedly wants to be traded, in part because new coach Eric Mangini didn't say hello to him at the team's practice facility in January."

Way to go ERIC, way to get your best defensive player to hate you.

Looking forward to watching your team go 3-13.

Missed it.

Keep looking for the screw-ups though. A lot of The Mageens major gaffs are real smart, intelligent fu<k-ups. So you dont always catch them till you wake up one day in the middle of a 6 game losing streak.

3 years from now the Rex ryan bashing threads will be all over the place as the cycle continues...

Right, and the day he gets fired will be another "step forward," for the franchise.

Anyway, it's not all gloom & doom for Mangini (from PFT):

REPORT: BOWENS LEANING TOWARD BROWNS

Posted by Aaron Wilson on March 8, 2009, 5:00 p.m.

New York Jets free agent outside linebacker David Bowens is leaning toward signing with the Cleveland Browns this week, according to Dave Hutchinson of the Newark Star-Ledger as he cited a source familiar with Bowens’ plans.

The Jets cut Bowens prior to the free agent signing period, which saved them $2 million against the 2009 salary cap. Per the article, the Jets woud like to re-sign Bowens at a smaller level of compensation.

However, Bowens, who visited Cleveland last week, supposedly prefers the Browns because he “loves” playing for former Jets coach Eric Mangini. ::wub

Last season, Bowens registered 40 tackles, four sacks and one interception as he started five out of 16 games.

That's okay. "Can't Nobody Block Me" is still out there. And according to Mangini, he's a very gifted NT... He sees something the fans sure as hell don't see, that's for sure.
