I have lost count of the times you have used the terms idiot or moron or imbecile on this board, to describe someone who is not, so you really don't have a leg to stand on. Case in point:

Technically...

A moron is someone with an IQ between 51-70, or an adult with a mental age of about 10.

An imbecile is someone with an IQ of 25-50, or an adult with a mental age of around 5.

An idiot is someone with an IQ of 25 and under, or an adult with a mental age of about 2.

Saying a foolish or ignorant thing is something you can control. Please do try.

Props again.

CTM & I had a couple of posts on this a while back at the other place. Those 3 terms were actually medical classifications. That's wild.

Mrs. Jones: "So what's wrong with Bobby?"

Dr.: "I'm sorry, Ma'am, but your son is an imbecile"

The problem with the classifications is I don't think its properly represented by the impact of those words now. For example, idiot has been so over-used in common language that it doesn't really carry much weight anymore. Imbecile, on the other hand, is just tops.
