Irish Jet
Hmm, we already have Sheppard and Rolle will hardly be cheap. I'd say Tanny/Ryan will have a look though.
SoFlaJets
Right now we have what, 3-4 CBs on the roster? Revis, Sheppard, Lowery, and Coleman? Is Carroll still here? Law and Hank are gonzo right? We could use a veteran like him just in case...

124
I would certainly like to bring Samari in but he would have to realize that it would be in a back-up role and I don't think he is ready to do that especially with other teams out on the market who are in need of a #2 Corner. If he came in both him and Sheppard would need to realize they are fighting for the #2 spot... and might share time there...
SoFlaJets
you need as many quality CB's you can find with Brady back in the division with that receiver corp he has up there

Lito Sheppard was just traded for and given a 4 year extension over $20 million and cost us two draft picks, the second most likely to be a Day 1 pick. He is going to be the starting CB opposite Darrelle Revis. Lito is younger and was a Pro Bowler in 2005 & 2007 before being benched because he wanted a new deal. Rolle would have to come here realizing he would be the #3, nothing more. He won't do that.

124
Lito could be gone next year,... its not a definite contract extension... he might wind up being nothing more than a one year late pick rental. Even so, Rolle is up there in age. The Jets arn't going to give him a 3 or 4 year deal which is what he wants. He is going to be released because he wants an extension on his 1 year deal and the Ravens arn't willing to give it to him. They also want to give him a paycut, he's making $4.1 million, and he won't do that. So you're telling me he's going to come to the Jets on a 3 year, $6-9 million deal? Doubt it. Unless Rex has some pictures of him somewhere.
124
wait a minute didn't he just get Chris Baker the TD maker? Yes, Chris Baker, the man who has all the talent but his best season was 450yds. Baker is going to do nothing but open it up more for Ben Watson.

Your assuming that in 3 and 4 WR sets they will be playing all man coverage... otherwise you need a few solid CBs to hold their zones...

I thought Dwight Lowery was a solid CB? The Jets corners 1-3 right now are pretty good, I am laughing my ass off that people are complaining about them and want to add every single FA Corner. Relax. We have much bigger holes that we need to fill right now. Christ.

Once you get cut... the market sets your value... if he wants to play for a contender... he will take less than 4 million... actually he will take less than that whether he likes it or not... ECURB
To do what? Dump it off to the running back? No it would mean Clemens is better than half the QB's in the AFCE and Ratliff is a fantastic backup for his age/experience.
