"Brett Ratliff (ERFA), Jets. Age: 24.

One of the bright young quarterbacks in the NFL, Brett Ratliff - not Kellen Clemens - is set to take over as the starting signal caller if Brett Favre retires. Ratliff will be retained for small money."

"Brett Ratliff Quarterback 2009: Exclusive Rights Free Agent"

and im in a GM mock draft and they listed ratliff as an EFRA so I had to tender him to 400,000.

why havent we heard about ratliff being un-signed?

I know, it's a disgrace. The man's a God FFS!

Superstar future HOR (Hall Of Ratliff - Better than the HOF) QB would have been more accurate.

Is Brett Ratliff a know commodity anywhere other than on Jets message boards?

Not to mention, ERFA is not really a Free Agent at all.

There is one other kind of free agent, which isn't really very "free" at all. That is the Exclusive Rights Free Agent (ERFA). Such a player has no more than two accrued seasons in the NFL and may only sign with his prior team, provided, of course, that the team extends a minimum qualifying offer to the player.

Ya'll are haters. When Ratliff kicks ass next season you same guys will be all on his balls calling him the greatest since Namath, just watch!

I don't know about everybody else, but I am only half kidding. I have shot my mouth off about this guy so much, if he does not become the next Namath, I will be hiding on that island that Bernie Madoff should have gone to. ;)

I believe you are getting the term "EFRA" confused with "FEAR," which you can see in the eyes of opposing defenses playing Ratliff.

FEAR, lol. Wasn't that the D-line knickname (in jest) a few years back.

What was it, ....Ferguson, Ellis, Abraham, ????

Or maybe the acronym was fart? Can't remember now, ;)
