kelly
Derek Anderson - QB Mar. 13 - 4:36 pm et The Akron Beacon Journal believes QB Derek Anderson could be had for "an early Day 2 [draft] selection." Anderson is more appealing now that the Browns have paid his $5 million roster bonus. With his 2009 salary checking in at just $1.5 million, the Jets may come calling. Accuracy issues aside, Anderson's big arm would play well in the Meadowlands' wind. ECURB
why not.....different division and the right compensation...he'd do it... Anderson is not enough of an upgrade to waste draft picks... unless its like a 4th or 5th rounder...
aec4
Anderson is not enough of an upgrade to waste draft picks... unless its like a 4th or 5th rounder... Early 2nd day to me means 3-4th... I think I'd do it for that, obviously, I'd try to do it for a 5th.
bobbyjet69
I've been saying this all along. Draft day trade! Just Watch. Leonard said that when he signed the Jets have a plan, he's not allowed to talk about it, but, they have a plan!

Leonard said that when he signed the Jets have a plan, he's not allowed to talk about it, but, they have a plan! I think we should all hope that this plan does not involve Derek Anderson. Even if he's 'better than what we've got', I don't want to give up a pick for a player that I don't think makes QB a non-issue going forward. Jetkid94
do you think our staff can see the potential in ratliff/kellen before draft day and not make a trade for anderson or does the conditioning camp show nothing for QB's?

So which is it? Does he have a job that requires a commitment above and beyond the call, or is he just another working stiff? True story: Last year, the Rev. Leon Kelly told kids in his Open Door Youth Gang Alternatives program he would have to cancel the summer session for lack of money. Cutler heard about it, wrote a check and the session was restored. At Christmas, Kelly wanted to do something a little extra for the kids he's trying to keep out of gangs
