Jetkid94
would you guys take a offensive lineman in round 2? or linebacker in round 2?
bitonti
doubtful. First day picks should start or at least contribute. I don't know where a new OL or new LB plays on this team.

JustInFudge
well if we dont get LB or OL in round 2 who do we get? safety? The 3 positions you mentioned are the last 3 I see addressed. Our OL is set up for the long term. Or LB'ers are as well. We just signed Leonhard. Personally, I want us to go DE in the 1st and WR in the 2nd. AdropOFvenom
Backup O-Lineman are usually mid rounders, not 2nd rounders. I also think the Jets are more comfortable with Turner and Hunter then you'd think, they used them a ton last year with all the tackle eligible formations. The reason you'd consider DL is because Kenyon Coleman is average so there's room for a draft pick to step up into his starting gig, and NT is the most important position on the field defensively, so that might be the only position where it'd make sense to invest so heavily in a backup. I think CB will also get more serious consideration then most think since Sheppard might be essentially on a 1 year deal.

shodan9999
would you guys take a offensive lineman in round 2? or linebacker in round 2? I want to see what happens with Jones...I want WR in round #1...we may have to go RB...and WR in #2...OL later...then there is this QB thing..and if we give up a high draft pick there...who knows ? But I we need more on the OL...

I disagree 6,437% you draft to acquire talent, not fill roster spots if you spend 1,000 hours putting together a draft board, paying all that money for your scouts to criss-cross the country, you take the guy at the top of the board your type of thinking leads to reaches and mistakes like nugent

You dont draft for depth, especially on the Oline, on the first day...IMO. These are supposed to be guys that can come in and see playing time, trying to make an impact. We need to get a DE. I think we can upgrade from Kenyon and Ellis is long in the tooth. I wouldnt be surprised to see, DE, WR, CB on the first day.
amuck
Another 1st round DE, what do we do with last years 1st round 30 million doller DE??? and i think we can get a good WR in the 2nd or 3rd round. IMO we should make a trade to get stafford or cutler and I DON'T MEAN GIVE AWAY THE HOUSE. OR TRADE DOWN. get more picks and go from there.
