Klecko73isGod
So much for Pats fans wet dreams. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-6-68/Panthers-deny-talking-Peppers-with-Patriots.html Panthers deny talking Peppers with Patriots March 16, 2009 7:34 PM Posted by ESPN.com's Tim Graham The Carolina Panthers have released a statement from general manager Marty Hurney that says, contrary to an NFL.com report, they have not had any talks with the New England Patriots about trading pass rusher Julius Peppers. By the rules of the CBA, we cannot and have not had any conversations with other teams about Julius. Under the non-exclusive franchise tag, Julius and his agent, Carl Carey, are within their rights to talk to other teams about a potential contract. However, at this point, we are not aware of any such conversations. NFC South blogger Pat Yasinskas and I are in agreement that this denial doesn't mean a trade won't be consummated between the teams. Vic Carucci's report for NFL.com, citing unnamed league sources, said the deal would be struck sometime between the NFL's annual ownership meetings, which begin this weekend in Dana Point, Calif., and the draft on April 25. Ghost
Honestly, I rather the Pats have Peppers than Wilfork. I'm glad they are NOT getting Peppers but it wouldn't be as bad as if they did.
Alk
Of course they're going to say that. Because they're not supposed to be talking to anybody. Peppers' agent is. This will be dead the second Peppers lines up for the Panthers on opening day.

PatriotReign37
9 times out of 10, this means that they ARE talking with the Patriots about Peppers. Something is cooking. This could be a draft day trade if a player Carolina covets is still on the board at 34.
PatriotReign37
Wilfork is going to be a FA soon, if Peppers comes to NE, say goodbye to Wilfork. Not really. Cant run the 3 - 4 without a NT and thats not Peppers strong suit.

Heard the same thing, still not buying it. However if the Patriots do sign Jason Taylor and reportedly they have a "50-50" chance of doing so, I think that will put to rest all of the Julius Peppers to New England rumors. Guido Monzino
Not really. Cant run the 3 - 4 without a NT and thats not Peppers strong suit. What makes you believe that the Pats could pay both Poopers and Wilforked?
