SoFlaJets
A few of you asked about Matt Jones during the live chat yesterday and Bob Glauber has a little more on that this morning, writing that league sources indicated to him that the Jets and [surprise!] Cowboys might be interested in Jones. The first step either team would need to take, however, would be to check with the league to see if any further punishment is coming Jones' way as a result of his probation violation. Jones earned a three-game suspension last year after being arrested in a cocaine possession incident. High risk, obviously, for the Jets if they dip their toe in these waters. But the reward could be high, too. Jones is only 25, he's 6-6 and in four seasons he's averaged 13.0 yards per reception and hauled in 15 touchdowns. BroadwayJ667
good for Schotty's offense. only so long as he knows he's on a short leash. he did seem to be getting better, saw his name on the stat line more frequently id have thought the Jets were more interested in Reggie Williams when he gets cut
Thai Jet
I wouldn't be against this acquisition I would Jimmy. How dependable would this druggie be ? I'd imagine there's a limited market for him as well.
BroadwayJ667
just because they sign him doesn't mean he'll be an integral part of the team. he has to earn his keep
aec4
He's immediately become our best WR.

JetFanBird
I still think our first pick in the draft should be WR, but bringing Matt in as 3 WR type would be great.
BroadwayJ667
more speed can't hurt, and Tanny is responsible so he won't be able to hurt the team besides if Scott is gonna be the leader, then he'll get right in his face and tell him to grow up

JiF
This guy is a complete moron. Stay away from him. Matt Jones in New York would be an absolute disaster. The guy cant control himself here in little old Jacksonville, FL, I cant imagine what he will be like in NY. The guy is a ****ing mess. Trust me, I have seen him around, I know people that know him. He likes Cocaine, a lot and the last thing he cares about is Football.

gang_green03
I wouldn't flip out if they got him but IMO its not worth it. He's very physically gifted but fact is he hasn't really done much in his career so far and add in the idiotic character concerns and it outweighs the potential rewards. CoachTsurfing
I would not want this guy on our team. I think he should be out of the league. I'm tired of these drug addicts, thieves, and common criminals making millions of dollars. While the rest of us hard working people have to struggle to make a living. I'm tired of these drug addicts, thieves, and common criminals making millions of dollars. While the rest of us hard working people have to struggle to make a living. what about the hard working people that use drugs? seriously tho Matt Jones on a low bonus (no bonus?) incentive laden deal is a no lose situation. the worst that happens is he stinks and gets cut, which is where we are right now. best that happens is he turns it around and realizes his insane potential. even if he is what he is last year a 60 rec WR helps this team alot right now. definately a nice fade route/red zone target.
