Schilling Announces Retirement

Well if we're letting people like Jim Rice and Schilling into the Hall, they should just triple the size and change the name to the Hall of Above Average Players.

Completely disagree with Rice; he's Duke Snyder of the 1970s. They both belong. It's not their fault that the eras they played in didn't have juiced balls and roids. Their number may seem discounted now, but that's not fair to them. They were both the most feared hitters in their leagues in their respective decades, and that is greatness.

Schilling?See above. I suspect he'll get in, but then by realtivity how do you exclude Cone, Blyleven, Morris, Kaat, John?

Wonder if Schilling with thank that great human being, Roger Clemens, for putting him on the straight and narrow when he was boozing his way out of MLB.

Gammons will tell you the Sox ball boy belongs in the HOF. HE is a Sox fan and gives them reach arounds for a 7th inning stretch.

I bleed pinstripes. Schilling is a HoF, not first ballot.

And let's not start in with TOTAL WINS... he's got plenty of other of excellent #'s.
