Holiday Inn Trail works best for me;)

that way i can be an expert at camping without even sleeping

in a musty damp phucking tent

Good luck, be safe and have a great time. Hope it doesn't get too wet out there.

I haven't done a whole lot of hiking on the AT. Off hand the only place I can remember climbing is Bear Mountain. I also climbed Anthony's Nose which I reached by parking at Bear Mountain, walking through the zoo (the lowest point on the trail) and crossing the bridge.

Right now I do most of my hiking in the Catskills. I am working on climbing the 35 highest peaks. After this, I'd like to start hiking the AT, one section at a time. The 46's in the Adirondacks intrigue me as well.

this is a must read book........"a walk in the woods" by bill bryson.......it is an absolute hilarious of his trail experience. a real easy read that you are bound to enjoy whether you hike or not

There's actually a copy of it sitting on my end table right now. My daughter is reading it for English Lit.

i'm not much of a book reader. It's gotta be pretty interesting to keep me interested.

do yourself a huge favor & read the 1st chapter. It involves him in a sporting good store trying to buy the right gear. it is falling down funny & I think your wit & humor will enjoy his ability to put his experiences in words.
