hoping4ASuperBowl
It's more likely we give them Neon Leon. damn I sure hope not. that would make me very sad. I still don't see how we could realistically get Cutler without involving the Browns.
slats
You can make a list of players or picks you don't want the Jets to give up, but it doesn't matter. Tannenbaum has demonstrated that he won't be shy when it comes to going after something he wants. I doubt anything's off the table right now. SMC
I will NEVER consider it. A team that trades for Cutler is trading for his potential. Cutler had a probowl season but, as of now, he's not a franchise QB. You hope he becomes one. In otherwords, as of now, Cutler is NOT an elite player. Revis, however, is an elite player right now. Revis is a better CB than Cutler is a QB. So, the question is, do you trade a young elite player for another who you HOPE becomes elite. The answer for me is a definate NO. Revis is a sure thing while Cutler is not. Right now, Revis IS A FRANCHICE CB, but Cutler IS NOT A FRANCHISE CB.
SMC
then you aren't looking for all ways to improve the Jets. That's ridiculous. You don't "improve" the Jets by hurting the defense to boost the offense.

124
What is with you and the love for Cornerbacks? Have you looked at the Cornerbacks on the last few Super Bowl Champions? If Revis for Cutler was what Denver wanted, we'd be fools not to do it. That being said, thats probably not what they'll be asking for.
aec4
That's ridiculous. You don't "improve" the Jets by hurting the defense to boost the offense. A QB is necessary to win in this league. The gap between Ratliff/Clemens to Cutler is FAR LARGER than Revis and the Jets 3rd CB. Revis is a great, franchise CB. Cutler is a franchise QB. QB is more important. You can find a CB easier than a QB.

aec4
HE'S NOT GOING ****ING ANYWHERE! If someone/something is traded it WILL NOT be Darelle Revis! I hope not.. I agree, but if that's all that'll get it done you HAVE to consider it.... QB is the most important player on the field. A QB like Cutler not only helps the passing game, but like Favre did, it OPENS UP the running game.

Favorite_Toon
I love revis as any jet fan does..was excited when we *****ed him...but the value of a franchise qb is too high to say no.. denver made a trade... when they traded portis away for a cb so the idea is not that off. although if they made a trade for revis they would have the best cb duo possibly ever... but i think it would more likely be harris.. and again i dont mind that either.. harris didnt exactly play too well last year even when healthy

THink about us.. our best player on D is a CB, yet we traded for sheppard and gave hm big coin. True. But we didn't give up two first round picks for him either. If he reverts back to pro bowl form he cost us a 5th now & a 2nd later. Quite a difference from a 1st now & a 1st later. I still don't think the Jets would pursue a trade involving Revis a month after they gave him a $6M roster bonus. The other reason I don't think they would move Revis is because of who their HC is. Ryyan came here due to his ability to build a dominant D. I doubt he'd be in favor of moving a defensive star - at a position where you rightly pointed out is VERY hard to find one - who, with only 2 seasons under his belt, still hasn't reached his potential. All this you say is right BUT to say just because Denver has a CB they wouldn't trade for another one is kind of silly. The cost of Sheppard ***** picks wise is meaningless in the discussion though. The point is teams will get 2 big corners if they could. I don't think we're trading Revis, but if that's the deal, we have to think about it.
