Each of the original 8 AFL teams will wear their throwbacks twice in the regular season, one home, one road. You can only wear throwbacks 2 regular season games per season. Tennessee only gets to wear their's 3 times because 1 of the 3 games is in the Preseason. http://www.nashvillecitypaper.com/news.php?viewStory=67233 Three times this season the Titans will wear throwback uniforms from the 1960 Oilers and that first season. That will occur once at home, in a road game reportedly against the New York Jets (who will wear the old New York Titans uniforms) and in the Aug. 9 Hall of Fame Game against the Buffalo Bills. The home game for the Titans to wear their throwbacks has yet to be announced, but it likely will be when the San Diego Chargers, another original AFL team, come to Nashville for a visit. 124 Posted April 2, 2009 Author Share Posted April 2, 2009 Looks like the Jets will wear their throwbacks at home against the Titans and on the road once (I'd say against Buffalo since New England is using their home game against Buffalo as their home throwback game AND Oakland is using theirs at home against San Diego ~~~ It HAS to be at Buffalo that we break out the throwback Titans ROAD uni's.) The NFL will highlight the 50th anniversary during “Legacy Games” throughout the 2009 season.
