The Gun Of Bavaria
Wait? This isn't an article about Jay Cutler? I like Ratliff. Problem is, I can't explain why. I'd like to see the Jets give him him a chance.
SoFlaJets
I have to say it...of all the prospects I see as our starter going forward-I hope it's Ratliff. That includes Cutler...I saw in this guy an ability to do the right thing and be in the right place and to have one more element; LUCK. I also liked how he was always in Favre's face on the sideline soaking it all up.

SoFlaJets
WOW.... why not the Jets? We see almost every other team pull young QB's from outta nowhere to become starters-even from places like Milton College to beat us in their first start... 124
What happens when Ratliff is the second string QB to Clemens, what will the Backup QB 4 Life Fan Club say then? Oh wait a minute, they're used to him being behind Clemens seeing as he has been the past two seasons.

JETfrmWOMBtoTOMB
I want to see what we have in house with the kids particularly Ratliff. Jay Cutler won't be able to hack the pressure in NY. I don't think he has the heart to make it here. This place is a different universe from what he's used to and it will crush his fragile ego to fine dust. Not everybody has Reggie Jackson's heart. Most players that come in here already established wind up falling way short of expectations. Lets see what we have with the kids and be done with this desperately reaching out for other team's players to take us to the promise land song and dance. Now Cutler is back tracking like a little bitch about not wanting to be traded. I'm telling you, this kid is a headcase and the pressure will destroy him. I'm willing to be wrong on this one but that's my story and I'm sticking by it!

Oh wait a minute, they're used to him being behind Clemens seeing as he has been the past two seasons. I don't get you Joe. Ratliff hasn't really had the opportunity to fail or be successfull. Clemens has had ample opportunity and hasn't shown anything promising. He has a strong arm, whoopee, so does Ratliff. You hated Pennington, you hats Ratliff, did you hate O'brien, Namath??? IMO I would trade for Cutler, if and ONLY if Clemens was part of the deal.

Thai Jet
He's talking about a noname 6th round QB who was drated to backup the $100 million pro bowl QB Drew Bledsoe. That kind of story, remember? Brady was the ultimate noname who hit it big. The Pats got lucky. He's saying that he hopes the Jets get lucky as well so they have the noname-to-star story. Your response is what's pathetic. And he's a college kid too. Doesn't speak much for his school.

He continually confuses the hope and tongue in cheek bravado of us Ratliff fans with unfounded confidence. He therefore labels all Ratliff fans as morons, as if we truly believe there is a good chance Ratliff will be the next Brady. I have not seen enough of him. When I do see more of what I think I will see from him, believe me, I'll be making some guarantees. And that will be long before the bandwagon loads up. CobraVerde
I liked what i saw from Ratliff during preseason...Clemens had moments but didnt really strike me as the qb of the future...id like to see what Clemens does with this line and a decent receiver..if he doesnt get it done by week 3 put Ratliff in.
