SoFlaJets
who else has decided to quit. I did it last May with the patch and decided to use them again as my wife simply refuses to pay 50 bucks a carton for them. The patch, wow...talk about vivid dreams. I am having these epic dreams where I am seeing my life in a different dimension-I have different kids a different wife live in a different place and this morning even talked to my long gone Grandmother and my dead uncle Mike passed me on the stairs wearing a fedora-wow...this stuff is better than mushrooms-I highly reccomend it to anybody deciding to quit smoking. I use the Target brand which stays on real good and put the patch on my middle back NOT on my arm.

PatriotReign37
I was talking to guy who works for a hospital the other day. He cant smoke on the hospital grounds anymore (except for his car). And, since they are furnishing his health insurance, they are going to begin random testing to see if hes been smoking at home.
DoubleDown
I am on and off, and haven't smoked more than a couple a day in years. When I first decided to quit, the patch gave me very vivid dreams as well. It caused too many interruptions with my sleep, and I didn't really like the extreme intensity of the dreams. Easy solution: take off the patch before you go to bed.
JerryK
As a resident "comedy troll" around here, I'd like to put joking aside and say congrats to everyone who quits, and keeps quitting if necessary. I was lucky and never got past "mooching" smokes in the Navy. 20 years later, some of those guys who started with me are still trying to get past it. Best of luck to all. It's probably $125 for a 30 day script - but then you're done with it and thats probably cheaper than a few months of patches. Good luck buddy - I'm pulling for you. I can't breathe normal around smokers. It is insane that your allowed to smoke in public places even outside and force everyone to breathe in poison... that newest "truth" commercial touches on the poison thing with trying to ship cigarettes... Seriously though... if I made a machine that blew the same poisons and chemicals out that a cigarette did...and used it... I would be arrested and in jail... It is ridiculous... Alk
Good for you Alk. I'm just glad I never got started. I feel sorry for those that really want to quit and can't. I blame it on my dad. He's a heavy smoker and still is to this day. I'll never forget the day I flicked a butt out the window of my car then look in the rearview mirror and saw both of my parents walking down the street. I didn't want to go home. When I got home my dad lectured me on how bad smoking was. Well luckily I met my wife in high school and she told me to cut the $hit out. I pretty much did cold turkey. war ensemble
What the hell makes you think someone would buy "legal" pot?? It would just spread illegal pot further and no tax money would be made... Although Larz' plan is impractical, if you take it to realistic levels it could make sense. I am not necessarily for the legalization of marijuana, but just thought I'd detail this. If you legalize marijuana, you allow businesses to capitalize on industrializing and nationalizing the product. By introducing vast industries and machinery backed by large capital, you involuntarily increase production and efficiency. This, in turn, reduces the price of the product. You can take this much cheaper source of marijuana (when compared to the "home-grown" stuff of today) and apply a high tax on it. I'd wager you could charge a tax 100% of the actual product's value and be near enough to the illegal prices. Seeing as it's legal, no sane person would buy the illegal stuff that does the same stuff for the same price. The government recuperates the total amount of income of the industry. That's over $50 billion. Not to mention the amount saved in drug enforcement policies and medical bills due to "unhealthy" marijuana. It could work, I suppose. The end user wouldn't see $100 a "pack", but rather the same price as before. Maybe I've missed something in the equation though.

war ensemble
Your missing the fact that I would grow it in my basement and sell it for less... lol Do you grow your fruits and veggies in your basement to make a profit off that? Industrialization improves efficiency in every market and I don't see why it would be any different with marijuana. The situation, in this case, sounds eerily similar to many other agricultural products. Industries have the capital to invest in advanced production methods/artificial chemicals to increase efficiency. While the taxes may be as high as 100% the actual market price, that comes about to the same as the illegal stuff because of production efficiency. Sorry for the stilted grammar, etc. I'm tired.
