NJ
David Haugh from the Chicago Tribune stated on WMVP, the Chicago ESPN affiliate, that Bus Cook has distain for Mopegini after having to deal with him through the Favre saga. I can understand that. He also said Brady Quinn WAS on the table in the brief discussions with Cleveland.

It's also very possible that they decided they didn't want the Browns either because of the AFC thing. It's simple, and makes a lot of sense... as opposed to the whole we don't like mangini BS. The whiney crybaby had little leverage.

NJ
BS is right EY. People just like to dump on Mangini. It's getting stale. Why would anybody ever "dump" on that great guy. What's stale are the few lingering apologists. <smilie for TJ>

Now, do I think they would have dealt with him for the right deal? Sure.. but they probably didn't want to bother negotiating withhim.

aec4
Ever deal with vendors at work? We do it all the time, and if you think that if the deals are close, you don't pick the person/group that's easier to work with you're crazy

glenn212
This is especially NOT feasible. Lots of the other dumps weren't either. gee.. ya think TJ. The media is so full of s**t its pathetic..They just literally make s**t up and they never get called on it..This goes back to Favre not liking Mangini..but mean while we found out there f**king texting each other and Brett going to hang out with the Browns and Eric this summer...What would make anyone here think wanted that f**king whiney ass ****y **** from Vanderneverwon****bilt. Lovie mortgaged his future on this kid because if Lovie doesn't make a run in the playoffs this year he's gettin bagged..everyone knows this especially Lovie..He had to make this move Two #1's and a 3rd for freakin Jay Cutler..get the f**k outta here. SMC
For all those Quinn lovers: The Jets have 3 QBs with 8 career starts total. The Jets trade for Quinn, and they'll have 4 QBs with 11 career starts total.

124
BTW I'd like to state that I would only trade for Brady Quinn if we are not giving up a 1st round pick, same goes for Derek Anderson. Neither is worth a 1st round pick at this point. However, a deal for Quinn will not get done without a 1st round pick being a part of the deal, unless its a 2nd + a player on our defense that Mangini covets. ECURB
I'd do that. That would make my day... great trade... time to call up Tanny and suggest it... Or we could convince one of the beat writers to do an article on how its possible to create some smoke about it....
124
I'd do that. Too bad Cleveland would never do that. A 1st round pick, 3rd round pick and BRAD SMITH for Brady Quinn and Braylon Edwards? I don't know a single person in the world (who is on the Browns side of the deal) who would take that deal. How stupid. A 1st, 3rd and Jerricho Cotchery MAY get that done.
