He may fall...then do we pull the BAP trigger? Could backup Jenkins as a rook or even get some time as a 3-4 end. Thoughts??

Yes. He may be semi-retarded and a pot-head, but that's never stopped anyone from being a semi-retarded pothead who is also a good DT prospect.

Just seen some high lights of this guy on youtube. He's a freak of nature. AWESOME. Jenkins wont play 16 games and the playoffs, and this isnt a talent that you see every year. If we didnt get a WR and we lucked up and got him I would be proud to call this beast a Jet.

Damn, watching it again...this guy has the power of a high strung DT with the agility of a DE. This kid is light on his feet to be so damn big.

Ellis is a convicted pothead so what's the difference. I would grab him if he fell. But he won't.

If the history of the draft tells you anything, you dont pass on a guy for a positive drug test.

Dan Marino and Warren Sapp are still laughing.

I dont think this hurts his stock too much and dont see him getting past #10.

And you wish Dewayne Robertson had been caught smoking crack before the 2003 draft.

AKA Warren Sapp

...but can Raji dance?

If B.J. Raji were there, even with our need at Wide Receiver, we would be foolish not to take him. How he falls out of the Top 10, even with the "positive drug test", I don't know.

I don't see how this alleged drug test could make him fall too far considering that at least Vontae Davis, Harvin and Raji tested positive for weed and Cushing and Matthews for juice. If all these guys tested positive they can't all drop.

You have to look at it as a concern. If it's just marijuana it's probably no big deal, but there are guys that missed time or were eratic. R J Soward and Phillips had concerns and I'm sure we wouldn't want to burn #17 on their equivilent. I don't remember if Matt Jones and Ricky Williams had trouble, but if they did I'll bet teams wished they'd paid attention. It's just a reason to check and double check their background/character.

Tons of prospects test positive or even admit to smoking weed at the combine interviews....

I remember Calvin Johnson admitted in interviews to smoking pot previously and it was reported that many teams were impressed with his honesty and candor ... didn't hurt his draft stock ... doubt it hurts Raji too much

Are you talking crack?

This is true. But they all smoke weed. Ricky Williams was agrubly the best RB in the game when he got busted. Matt Jones is a coke head, **** up, moron. The Jags got the wool pulled over their eyes. Those are the guys you need to worry about.

I can't see him falling out of the top 10 unless he shoots somebody between now and draft day.
