#87 - David Clowney

Did anyone else know this? Apparently he took Coles' old number. He'll actually look like an actual wideout now that he did this.

Actual wideouts can't wear a number between 10 and 19?

Keyshawn Johnson

Braylon Edwards

Plaxico Burress

Santonio Holmes

DeSean Jackson

Steve Breaston

Roy Williams

Marques Colston

Eddie Royal

Ted Ginn Jr

Devin Hester (#23, how weird is that?)

I don't like wideouts that wear their numbers in the teens. #84 is the best # of all-time.

There's also some other guy in Arizona other than Breaston who I've heard is a fairly decent receiver. Wears #11 I believe...

That Marques Colston is some receiver

How on Gods green earth did we miss this kid. I mean he flippen played in our own back yard!! Literally!!!!!! Three of our picks from '06 are no longer on the team including the 7'th rd'er. And one of them I think is out of football completely (that great bear mugger, Anthony Schlegel ) Granted, I had no idea about him. But for Gods sake, how easy can due diligence get when all ya have to do is look out your window.

Ask Bit. I'm pretty sure he said Colston has some serious character concerns and that would not fit in with Cap'n Boy Scout. Also, when you are picking in the 7th you don't necessarily look in your backyard. Those are guys that you look to sign as UDFAs. You have an in with them in that regard. Why burn the pick if you can sign them later.

The Jets drafted receivers to play with Chad Pennington. In other words, guys that can take a 5-yard pass, make a move, and get nine yards out of it. Essentially, halfbacks that played wideout. They had no interest or need in big, down-the-field targets because Chad couldn't hit them in stride anyway.

If I am not mistaken, Wayne Chrebet was telling the Jets to grab him...
