villain_the_foe
Per: ESPN. The League (NFL) did not send a letter to BJ Raji indicating that he in fact failed the drug test. They do not know how this rumor started but it is a fact that he didnt fail the drug test. Question, should or will teams "still" be concerned about this? He seems to be a rare talent at this position and obviously the best in his class.

Aten
Question, should or will teams "still" be concerned about this? This doesn't change anything. The fact that he had to have the result confirmed before denying the story speaks for itself. I think you'd have to be crazy not to be concerned. This isn't like Calvin Johnson or Amobi Okoye because screwing up is a pattern with Raji.

Well, from what was stated from ESPN is that he did deny it, and he and his agent called the doctor that administered the test and the doctor didnt call back which the doctor is supposed to do given the "letter" that players get indicating their failed test which Raji didnt get as well. It seems like he was trying to clear his name all along.

Here's the initial response from one of Raji's agents last week: We will not comment on rumors from unnamed sources. I do know that B.J. has been one of the hardest workers and nicest individuals that we at Athletes First represent. There is no doubt that he will be an invaluable addition to an NFL team both on the field as a player and in the community as a role model. Won't comment until they're able to deny the rumors, anyway, which they could have done right away had Raji actually been clean.
