Happy Passover, my JN Jewish friends!

Seeing your post brought me to a question I have had for years: Why don't Christians celebrate/commemorate Passover? When did God say to stop following this tradition? If Jesus was at a Passover seder the night he was seized, wouldn't Christians make Passover an even bigger deal? No need to respond; just more thoughts that lead me into the abyss of despair.

thanks everyone!

just finished the last bit of cleaning.. and as always i made too much food ( and i hate generalization.. but it is typical of jews..)

i am always afraid of not having enough fook.. anyone remember the "mary tyler moore" show when mr. grant took too much at mary's dinner party... too funny.. and my worst nightmare....

well maybe not my worst nightmare.. that would be having Tom Shane show back up on JN :P

All I want is some food. So settle this for me: is kasha varnishkas kosher or not? I lose sleep over such details. My Daddy's workplace when I was growing up, half the camp said no over the fermented thing, the other other half said eat it and shut up.

Selma of the Great Kasha from my Daddy's workplace aeons ago (she had flaming red hair, I loved that) also used to make homemade gefilte fish. She'd plunk it down. "Eat." He loved it, of course. My Daddy would wolf it down with beet horse radish, the whole magilla. I could never get past the jelly mess, so forget the commercially made while we're at it. I've heard some folks serve it warm. Light, fluffy... is it still barf worthy? I see gefilte fish much like haggis and head cheese. Bury me now. Wait, I'm getting cremated. Whatever.

OK, so here's the doggerel: The best thing about Selma was that she'd have carp swimming in her bathtub for the occasion. Man, I had such a colorful upbringing. God love the old time NYC garment industry.

NOT Kosher for Passover ? Why do they have to complicate it so much ? I would think Kosher is Kosher but alas I stand corrected. :)

Good question my friend. The only thing I can think of is that Passover was old testament and Jesus was Jewish. There are probably lots of things Jesus did that Christians do not follow. I'm all in favour of celebrating Passover if GG does the cooking.

No I'm sure i will have to pay some purgatory dues

like 4 years worth

Dumb rule

I'm in trouble if rules count:D

 I always had a problem when they started changing the rules. That's kinda why I left. I always wondered about the people who were sent to bad places before thew rule changes. What happened to them ? Then I tried finding purgatory in the bible. Couldn't, that made it even worse.
