ESPN has him on Saturday, and I believe Peter Abraham said they where going this way as well. This sets CC up to make his 3rd start the home opener at the new stadium.

Is there a rain delay or something?

I was thinking the same, I guess the start is 4:30

Sounds like Gardner got a little swing happy on that SO.

Trying to protect, but didn't get a piece of it. I think he took two good pitches to hit earlier in the at bat.

Weird base running this inning.. but good job by Jeter getting a run in there.

what happened?

Ransom hit a ball to the shortstop and Swisher got caught in between 2nd and 3rd, but he was able to slide back into 2nd safely... with Ransom safe at 1st.

Seems like it was a good idea to bring back Andy....

Ian Kennedy yielded one run in six innings and struck out 11 for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

Kennedy has dominated in the minors for over 2 years now, he can still be a good pitcher, but it probably wont be for the Yankees.

That's frustrating... Joba worked out of trouble, but the defense lets him down.

Hopefully the Yankees pen can get 3 innings of shut out ball.

Bruney in 7th (vs. 2 RH hitters)

Coke or Marte in 8th (vs. 3 LH hitters)

Rivera in 9th

Shame they didn't or couldn't pinch hit for Melky. Killed a big inning.

BTW has Michael Kay gotten worse this year or what?

Kay always sucked... Cone isn't bad though

Hope so I have Joba going on my fantasy squad.

How were the last 2 runs given up? Swisher error?

Yeah, but amazingly they didn't call it an error.

Bruney look real good that inning, but with 3 tough lefties up (DeJesus, Tehean, and Jacobs) the next inning, I'd go with Coke or Marte in the 8th.

Insurance runs would be nice. I'd like to see Gardner try and bunt for a single to lead off the inning.

Marte gets the first 2 outs, now they bring in the right handed Veras to pitch to the right handed pitch hitter Butler. Mixing and matching...
