SoFlaJets
Wednesday, April 15, 2009 No, it won't be quite the event that Tuesday's NFL schedule unveiling was (tongue planted firmly in cheek, folks), but Thursday nonethless will be a significant day for the Jets. Every NFL team with a head coach in his first year with that squad gets the luxury of an extra voluntary (wink, wink) minicamp before the draft. The Jets will conduct one for three days, beginning Thursday. For Rex Ryan, it will be his first chance to see his players on the field in live action. No, it won't be a game or even a scrimmage, but you can bet the enthusiastic and hard-driving Ryan will want to see game-type speed from his players, or at least a realistic facsimile. Some questions will start to be answered, and many of them are on offense. What about apparently unhappy running back Thomas Jones? It seems unlikely that he will show up for this event

SoFlaJets
anybody else starting to think that Erik Ainge is on his last strike around here? Her got suspended last year, this spring he's not even at the "voluntary" workouts. Maybe he was told that he's no longer in their plans
abyzmul
You would think they'd cut Ainge if that were the case.
