PS17
Football .. any suggestions. .. Any SEC team, the level of football in that conference is head and shoulders better than any other region in the country. For some reason, I have always liked LSU. Lil Bit Special
Football .. any suggestions. .. Well it all depends on what you want as a fan. Do you want your team to be competitive every year fighting for the title or are you looking for a college team that is just like the Jets who c0cktease you every year and every once in a long while give you satisfaction? Me.. I have 2 college teams. 1 is University at Buffalo since they have sucked for so long it was fun to see them do well (for them). The other will be Penn State because that's my girlfriends alma mater and she is a huge fan, so Im going to start following them (casually at first... got to see if it will work out with the new chick)

PS17
I love Syracuse, but their football has been absolutely dreadful for the last 5+ years. If they get good eventually I will root hard for them.
Irish Jet
I don't have a college team either. I tend to watch the better games and look out for NFL prospects. It's still awesome, even when you don't have a team. So many great games.
NFLs StepChild
Best advice I can give you is to just pick strong conferences to watch. SEC and ACC are my favorites. You'll find you end up gravitating to the team and it picks you.
PatriotReign37
USC is fun to watch and youre bound to see some top NFL draft picks in NCAA action. Penn State and Joe Pa. I wouldnt mind seeing him win another title before he kicks the bucket. U of Florida if you like the spread offense at its finest. U of Texas always has a good ball club. I try to follow Kansas U. They are trying to build a football program when its been a basketball school for ages. The team isnt bad either for the level of talent they recruit. TampaBayJetsFan85
I love Syracuse, FSU and have been rooting for USF over the past couple of years but nothing is like rooting for FSU because I cant stand the Gators and Hurricanes and you know what? I couldnt stand the guy when we played him, but Percy Harvin is the best UF athlete that I've seen in some time. Put it this way...Harvin is no "Regualr FL WR" This man is a beast and a game changer. Jets will pick this guy @ 17 since Maclin and Crabtree will both be long gone. Harvin WILL be the BPA @ a position of need.
Alk
1 is University at Buffalo since they have sucked for so long it was fun to see them do well (for them). Cool, so you've got to be pretty pleased with Turner Gill. I'm always happy to see a former Husker doing well for himself. GO BIG RED!!
Vengeful Odin
I like Big 12 football myself ... Graham Harrell, Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, even Chase Daniels all in the same league last year ... you can't go wrong. Tech is a fun team to watch, with their wide open offense, but I'd be remiss to no mention my K-State Wildcats ... who are going back to the future this year with Bill Snyder at the helm. What, no love for Joe Ganz? And K-State? The reason Snyder retired in the first place was because he realized that the game had passed him by. Now he's going to be some sort of savior? Lil Bit Special
Cool, so you've got to be pretty pleased with Turner Gill. I'm always happy to see a former Husker doing well for himself. GO BIG RED!! Yep. Very pleased. Very surprised he didnt leave after last season. Hopefully they can continue their success. Reason why I became a Buffalo fan: My buddy went to school there. They sucked forever. He was always jealous that I went to UMass and had the basketball team be successful the 4 years I was there. So when Gill took over I made a deal with my buddy... If Buffalo could cover the spread I would donate 10 bucks for each game. And if they won, I would donate 20 bucks. Made the season a heck of a lot of fun to follow (and I think I donated 95 bucks that year). Then I followed them on their first winning season in the MAC but missing a bowl game. So this year was a lot of fun... even if they are just a minor mid major.

Guido Monzino
Rutgers. A no-brainer. Especially if you live in NY/NJ. Schiano has this program up and even more coming. Great things will happen with this team soon, and it will get a hold of NY which has been forever starved for a real college football experience. If you want a big time program kid, consider these: Michigan Penn State USC Florida Nebraska Miami Oklahoma Georgia LSU Tennessee Alabama Ohio State Suckeyes Miami? LOL Which of these is even remotely close to the tri-state area? Pick a team in which you'll be able to follow closely, attend games, and enjoy with fellow fans in the area. And get in with a team that is now ready to take it to that level. Or you can be like a Pats fan and jump on one of the above bandwagons.
