Sperm Edwards
Now try putting on an Arizona GM's hat. You want a 1st & a 3rd for just Boldin. Jones' trade value is less than a 3rd. And you're going to give up another player as well. The only thing another team wants less than to trade for a 31 year-old RB (Thomas Jones) is to trade for a 31 year-old RB who is unhappy with his contract & wants a new one. He did not become a better RB last year. The OL became better. Arizona's run blocking is awful so it won't matter if their RB is Jones or James or Hightower. Irish Jet
SE nailed it. There is no value for Jones in Arizona. He'd put up awful #'s behind that line. They wouldn't trade Boldin for TJ + A 3rd rounder nevermind Edge thrown in with him. Not a chance the Cards would take that.
#27TheDominator
Here is my trade proposal.. Our first and Thomas Jones for Boldin and Edgerin (SP) James.. thoughts.. You think Larry Johnson is dead and you want to deal for James? I think that I would count on Cedric Houston returning to be our #1 back before I would give Edgerrin James $5M for his 3.8 ypc. Now try putting on an Arizona GM's hat. You want a 1st & a 3rd for just Boldin. Jones' trade value is less than a 3rd. And you're going to give up another player as well. He did not become a better RB last year. The OL became better. Arizona's run blocking is awful so it won't matter if their RB is Jones or James or Hightower. Arizona wants a back and I don't think they expect James back. They'd probably be more than happy with the Jones for James portion of the swap, but you're right, I doubt they'd want to give up a third for Jones. There have to be a few people in Arizona who remember what a stiff he truly is.

I don't think he has any value for them. Agree with the rest.
