SoFlaJets
The Jets held their annual predraft news conference in between two minicamp practices today. And before they actually spoke about the prospects, general manager Mike Tannenbaum cleared the air about a couple of notable veteran camp absences. uart
In Ainge's defense, his Uncle has not been well lately. I don't know if they're close, but I completely forgive him if that's the reason for his absence.

I don't know if they're close, but I completely forgive him if that's the reason for his absence. Absolutely. I just heard he had a heart attack the other day. I guess he has been feeling ill leading up to that.

SoFlaJets
I just wish they would say so , if indeed that's the reason. Jane McManus was saying it was the reason in her blog yesterday TJ-like I said if this were Mangini's Jets it might have been a different story-they said he had a personal issue to deal with. We're just so programmed to be suspicious after the last 3 years of Mister Sunshine

SoFlaJets
I like this idea a ton. There are going to be a few amazing value picks in the latter part of rd 1. Whether it be Pettigrew, Wells, Moreno, DHB, etc... there will be a high-ceiling offensive talent available late in round one, and I am all for giving up a 2nd and a 4th to get there. Depending on who is there and what pick it is, I might even consider a 2nd and a 3rd. so trade BACK from 17 to say 30 or something like that Ryno? And get more picks out of the deal? I kind of like that idea too

I kind of like that idea too of course it all depends on who is available when 17 roles around, but absolutely I would consider accumulating more 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rd picks in this relatively deep draft.
