I don't think I've ever seen a guy (pre-draft) try and sell himself to a team the way this kid did today on this show. This guy WANTS TO BE A JET! I'll tell you what folks I want guys that WANT to be on my team. Camp shots also you could just feel the difference in the vibe between what we had seen from Mangini's team. Our defense is the least of my worries, I already know we're gonna kick some ****ing ass. But we also need offense, and Im sorry I know there are some Clemenites here, but I dont believe in him...sorry. Dare I say Mark Sanchez is growing on me... Me too, I'm telling you I think we're going to do whatever it takes to draft Sanchez. You seriously think Clemens is a lot worse than he actually is. He's not a great QB, he's not going to win MVP, but he doesn't have to. All he has to do is manage games and he's certainly capable of doing that IMO. We have a VERY strong team around him unlike '07 which is clearly what you're judging by. With the way Clemens played in 07' he would have 12 wins with this current Oline... Schein had Mark Sanchez on. Which IMO is not possible. Tough on him to label him as a backup. You have to take into account the circumstances in which he was forced into in 2007, you can't make a fair assessment of the guy based on that. He showed flashes (Especially against Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Washington) and proved that he at least has some ability. That was his second year too, it's reasonable to assume he's developed since then. Personally I think he'll be fine. The camp reports of him looking exceptionally sharp are very encouraging too. I'm happy enough with our QB situation and I genuinely believe we'll win a lot of games in 2009. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Here's how I can envision it playing out Irish Jet; Think back a few years ago to the San Diego situation with Brees and Rivers. Let Kellen Clemens play for the next 2 years and by then he'll be great trade bait. I think Clemens is good enough to get us to the playoffs RIGHT NOW but I think Sanchez is the guy from 2011 on...Make this happen Woody, Tanny and Clinksdale Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
