GimmeShelter
Manuel said he'd give his rotation one more go-through before making significant changes. Oliver Perez, John Maine, Livan Hernandez and Mike Pelfrey have all pitched horribly to start the season, which has left the Mets in fourth in the NL East with a 6-9 record. They may look to the minors and recall top prospect Jonathan Niese, veteran Freddy Garcia or even former independent-leaguer Brandon Knight. Source: New York Post Not exactly glowing alternatives. talisaynon
Freddy Garcia got his ass teed by Scranton the other day..6IP 3ER 5H 3BB. (Well not rocked, but still it's a AAA team) I'd probably take the guys on the current roster over him.

faba
Santana and that is all we can count on right now. Why not give Niese a chance instead of recycled guys if this continues.

Yep Lowe would have been perfect. I think Manuel gave the team a wake-up call and we have a good w/end.

GimmeShelter
That's two. Pelfrey a little rusty but moves to 2-0 on the season. Nice to see a great defensive play out of Murphy.
GimmeShelter
Ollie awful again today. The old every other start scenario. Interesting to see how long Manuel stays with him. Jordan Zimmermann looks like a nice young pitcher for the NATS. Explosive fastball.
