Nick Ferraro
Despite being tagged by the Colts, Edgerrin James is still a trade possibility. A distinct scenario is Edge to the Fish with the Colts picking up the Dolphins first round pick (2). The Dolphins would get the back they need since Ricky went on a permanent green day, and the Colts can grab some badly needed defensive help with the second pick overall. This would be a huge mistake by the Phins imo. I wouldn't give up that pick unless it's to move back in the draft and get more picks.

The draft is loaded with RB's. I agree, this would be a mistake by the Dolphins
124
Phins could make out pretty good in this deal if you ask me. They get Edge who is one of the Top 10 backs in the league and if he went to Miami probably would be Top 5 again where as your Cedric Benson's of the world, you don't really know if they'll become something or not. TomShane
If the Dolphins fork over the #2 pick for James, I'll laugh my ass off. The Fish are 4 years away from being competitive, and in 4 years, James will already have been retired for two years. PASS!

TheBrodyMan
Doesn't make sense. The Fish would be better off trading down a few picks, gaining some late round draft picks, and still picking up a RB like Cadillac, Ronnie Brown and maybe even Benson. Giving up the 2nd pick in the draft for Edge would be worse than any of the TE's the Jets have drafted.
